My RP StreamClan warrior cat Morningfall~ -->[link]
Streamclan is a clan from :iconwarriorsvalleystream:
i'm doing a contest for :iconbettarae: for [link] about her oc [link]

so, here's the story!
Morningfall, my oc, was once named Lyra when she was a kittypet (a pet cat). She heard from her sister Lilac who lived across a block in the twolegplace (neighborhood) about these wild cats, five huge packs, that roamed the forest. They were dangerous and ridiculously strong, but Lyra wanted to join them. She was very shy and the runt of the litter, so she wanted to be as strong as them to prove she is a true cat at heart. However, Lilac didn't buy it. Though they were sisters, they had different perspectives, and Lilac couldn't visit often because of her mate and kits (she had two).
One early dawn, Lyra went outside into her garden (yard) to do a morning sun bathe. She was curious about the valleys over the fence, so she went over. There, she met Stixx, an unusually kind rogue (strays who are normally jerks and snooty). The she-cat was very beautiful (not to mention clean) who lived in a nearby campsite. There, Stixx was given a beautiful bone-shaped pendant that the owner's daughter gave as a present. Lyra and Stixx became close friends (sister relationship), and every morning Lyra would go and pay a visit (which made her strong). However, on the way to Stixx's den, Lyra met a cat named Troutpaw. He was a handsome silver tom ( i'll make a reference sheet soon) who was out doing a hunt at a nearby valley stream. Lyra asked a few questions, and then told Stixx about her adventure later...
"...and there is five clans, but they all have different loyalties! there are apprentices, even leaders, and cats that act like vets! there's mothers with kits that never leave the clan, and troutpaw nows how to fish! i love salmon and trout as well, and he showed me a demonstration!" Lyra jabbered.
Stixx looked at her with violet eyes. "Do you want to go live with them?" there's was no mockery or anger; only curiousity.
"I don't know...i have a sister to take care of and housefolk..."Lyra trailed.
"Yes, but your sister has a mate. She has her own family to take care of. Plus, your housefolk need to be strong," Stixx reasoned. "They'll understand that you have a destiny."
Lyra still looked troubled. "It seems awesome to be in a clan...maybe i'll have to think over it a bit..."
Stixx licked her paw as she delicately nibbled a mouse she caught. "it's up to you to choose where your paws walk."
Lyra did go home to think about it, and that night she had a dream. An enormous cat loomed over her with stars on his fur.
Lyra stared in surprise and anxiety. "who are you?" she stammered.
The silver cat walked around her, nodding. "Yes, yes...you seem strongly built and nimble enough to hunt easily." he mumbled.
Lyra flinched.
"My name is Silverstar. I was once a leader of a clan-those groups that you cats call "wild cats"." The tom settled down. "This is only a dream. However, it is real."
"Silverstar...do you think i should join your gr-i mean, clans?" She asked. "I don't know my destiny..."
Silver licked her ears, his blue eyes glimmering like a full moon. "Peace. You don't need to know now, but all i need to say is follow your heart, and do what you believe. I would help you if I could, but I lost all of my nine lives."
Lyra stared with disbelief. "You died NINE times?"
However, the ancient cat was already fading. "Follow your heart..."
And so, Lyra awoke with a start. I need to follow my heart.
She padded outside in the clear spring air. It was already afternoon. I know what i'll be.
"I'll be clan cat."
Lyra padded over to her sister's place-mindful of the thunderpaths (roads) for monsters (cars)- and spotted Lilac on the deck.
"Lilac!" She called behind the fern bush. "We need to talk."
Lilac lazilly got up. "What do you want?"
Lyra swallowed hard. "I'm leaving."
Lilac snapped awake. "WHAT?"
"I'm leaving. I don't belong here."
"But what about me?" Lilac reasoned, obviously hurt and shocked. "You MUST stay! Your my only littermate who i ever met since the rest of the litter left! You're too weak to go out alone!"
Lyra shook her head. "I can't. You have your kits, your mate, and the other cats nearby. I want to be strong, so I'll be a warrior."
Lilac snorted. "Those forest cats? Without a roof over your head? You won't survive for long! Why leave?"
"Because i can choose my own destiny."
Lilac looked defeated. "Alright. I wish you a safe trip." They touched noses, and Lyra turned back to her garden.
If I'm going to leave, I'm going to have to eat.
There, she ate a pleasent meal of tuna and salmon in her food bowl, and licked it for one last time. Goodbye old life...
She went on, padding around saying farwell until she said it to the last cat. At last, she started her trip. The sun was pointing out ot late afternoon.
Lyra trekked across the hills-which seemed to be like forever-and finally made it to Stixx's home. The sun was already setting, turning the sky into a mix of orange, blue and yellow as well as specks of white stars. The valley grass turned into a golden green.
"Stixx?" Lyra called.
Stixx came out. "Hi, Lyra. What took you so long? Are you here to enjoy the sunset?" The faint moonlight lit her honey ginger and white pelt.
"No." Lyra meowed, her green eyes squeezing as she braced herself. "I'm leaving."
Stixx just padded up and licked her ear. "Are you following your heart?" She asked, her lavender eyes bulging with love and loss.
"Yes." Lyra chokked out. Stixx was a very close friend...her best friend from the last three moons (Lyra is 8 moons old). "I've come to bid farewell."
"Of course. I appreciate it," Stixx meowed. "You've chosen your path, so now its time to make your own life. I'm proud to be your friend. Here...let me help you with your collar."
Giving a tug, Stixx gave a small yank. Lyra gripped the grass until her pink collar fell loose in front of her paws. "Thank you..." Lyra breathed, thankful it was over. "You can keep it." She pushed the collar to Stixx, the bell jingling a small chime.
Stixx nosed her. "I'll never forget you."
At last, Lyra gave her last goodbye and padded across the valley. At the same stream, now reflecting the fiery sky, Lyra saw troutpaw again. "Troutpaw!" She called. the tom looked up in surprise. "Take me to your clan. I want to be a warrior."

Shortly after, Lyra became Morningpaw, in honor of her golden morning pelt and dawn-colored eyes. Though she was late in training, she was a quick learner and an excellent scenter for hunting, Morningpaw became Morningfall: an official warrior of StreamClan!

thanks for reading the story till the end~ ;)
